Abbotsford Lodge is a large victorian house built around 1890.

Most of the main rooms in the house retain many of there original features, and all rooms have colour televisions, tea and coffee making facilities.

By prior arrangement, for special occasions, we can also arrange for full or half bottles of champagne fresh fruit and flowers to be in the room on your arrival.

We are in an ideal location for guests attending local weddings in the Roman Camp Hotel. For guests attending these weddings we can offer a pre wedding light lunch. Guests are invited to extend there stay on the previous night with a discount to enable them to enjoy a leisurely breakfast and have time to prepare for the big day. We have off street parking, ideal for motorbikes and secure storage for cycles. Wet weather clothes can be dried in our large drying room. We are within walking distance of the town centre with many restaurants and bars.

The beautifully re-furbished residents lounge is an ideal place to sit and relax after a busy day.

We specialise in catering for groups of between 10 - 35 people for occcasions such as birthdays and christenings.
